How GPS Tracking Works

The below diagram will give you a very simple view of how GPS Tracking works.

  1. The tracker uses signals from a minimum of 4 satellites to gain a an accurate position.
  2. The position is then sent via the telecommunications network to the online solution. The data sent also includes other information such as time, speed, altitude, sensor readings and alarms.
  3. The clients access the data and visual mapping display through a secure Internet connection using either PC/Laptop or Smart Phone.
